According to Pew Research, over the past 6 decades the percentage of Americans who trust our government has dropped from 77% to just 19%.
This video examines 6 reasons for the decline including conflicts of interest, the inability to get things done, outright criminal conduct, cognitive decline, lying and hypocrisy. While term limits might help with some of these issues, they are not a silver bullet and they have their own unintended consequences.
