It’s been really dry and dusty lately, so I wanted to clean the air filter on this machine.
It has two air filters: The primary filter which I removed first to clean- you can see how dusty it is; and the secondary filter, which should never be cleaned only replaced.
I removed it here to show you, but it’s recommended not to remove this filter unless you have a new one in your other hand.
Here I gently tapped the primary filter- if you hit it really hard you can actually damage it.
I also used some low pressure air from the inside to push the dust out.
I like to clean the inside of the canister and the cover with a damp cloth before putting everything back together.
This cover is actually a dust ejector- as the air comes in, it swirls around and collects some of the dust which falls out a vent in the bottom rather than going to the filter.
Now I’m ready to get back to work. @hausplans
