This annual winter event, called “Cuttlefest,” involves heartbreak, love triangles, and incredible physical transformations as the males try to impress the females. Travel journalist Stephanie Vermillion witnessed these cephalopod dramatics up close while diving, but glass-bottomed boats are also available for visitors who want to stay warm and dry while catching the invertebrate lovefest.
