January 29, 2017 was a bitter cold Quebec City night. At 7:30 pm, some 65 worshipers, including women and 3 children, are beginning their Sunday prayers in the mosque at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec.
At the same time, a 27 year old man is heading towards the mosque. In his car were weapons and ammunition. The night is getting colder and darker as the man pulls up to the mosque. He isn’t here to pray.
An unholy terror is about to be unleashed. The man walks into the mosque – his weapons fully loaded. He’s there to kill.
Six men died in the shooting shortly before 8 p.m. and 19 people were wounded.
Alexandre Bissonnette, a 27 year old Laval University student, has been charged with six counts of murder and 5 counts of attempted murder.
Now, The Fifth Estate reveals new details about the victims and the accused shooter. Co-host Mark Kelley is in Quebec City to tell the story of the shooting that shocked the nation.
