Money laundering is rampant in Mexico and the country is considered a world leader in exporting illicit cash to cleanse the proceeds of crime. Former US Senate Investigator Jack Blum sat down with the fifth estate and explained the history of money laundering, how working in countries that are rife with crime and corruption is risky for banks, and what banks and governments can do to curb the practice.
