I’m Dr. Justin Sledge and Welcome to Esoterica – History, philosophy and religion all have a hidden, esoteric dimension that has long gone under-studied and even suppressed. I hold a doctorate in philosophy and graduated with honors from the Center for History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents, one of the few places in the world to grant advanced, academic degrees in the study of Esotericism. Here we explore these subjects with an evidence-based, scholarly approach free from hidden agendas, conspiracy theories and baseless personal speculation. These topics don’t often get the careful investigation they deserve and here at Esoterica we approach them with both a sympathetic read and a critical eye. Further, I work hard to make sure that all of my content is accessible to a range of ages, educational levels and personal spiritual practice and hope my videos are engaging for everyone, from curious skeptics to experienced occult practitioners.
