I went online and ordered a palette of concrete and the tools I needed from The Home Depot. @HomeDepot
When I showed up, they had everything ready to go and loaded it right into my truck.
I also rented this concrete mixer; I like that The Home Depot has a Rental Center.
This is a great option for tools and equipment you only need every now and then.
In my area redi-mix concrete has gotten extremely expensive and it’s also a nightmare to schedule, so mixing this concrete myself saved both money and time.
Also, I don’t have good access to get a truck around the back of the house.
I couldn’t wait to try out this new Makita concrete vibrator- I’ve wanted one of these for a long time.
The vibrator gets air pockets out of the concrete, so you don’t get voids or honeycombing.
It’s always exciting to strip off forms, you never know what you’re going to get- these turned out amazing.
I definitely recommend ordering online from The Home Depot, that way everything is ready to pick up at the store.
