These words, often attributed to the Buddha, invite us to see mindfulness as the art of becoming aware of what we think and how those thoughts shape us. When we learn to notice our thoughts without being swept away by them, treating them as clouds passing by, we begin to choose which ones we nurture.
Mindfulness isn’t about forcing the mind to be empty—it’s about creating moments of stillness so our thoughts can settle, and we can see things more clearly.
