I’m going to teach my wife the basics of running a skid steer. Watch this video if you wanna learn how.
Ok so the right joy stick controls your bucket. Pull back to raise it up, Push forward to lower down. Push away to dump the bucket, and pull towards you to curl the bucket.
The left joy stick controls your travel. Push it forward to move forward. Pull back to go backwards. Push it left to turn left. Pull it right to turn right.
Down here that’s your foot throttle.
Try scooping up a bucket of dirt. Alright, go ahead and make your bucket flat with the ground. Curl down a little bit. Drive forward. When you start to feel resistance raise the bucket up. Keep driving forward. Good job.
You can learn the basics of running a skid steer in a couple of hours, but it takes years to get good- and that’s why it’s fun.
