People who think that generalizations are bad should not be trusted to think or to vote or be allowed to have a job more important than shift manager at Olive Garden.
Generalizations can be false, a little, true, or very true. Whenever I generalize, I am always giving you the generalization that I believe to be “most true.” If I’m correct, then anyone who disagrees wants you to have less truth than I do.
