Binaural frequencies: 3 Hz, 2 Hz, 1 Hz
Carrier frequency: 128 Hz

Binaural beats are an auditory illusion that is perceived when two slightly different frequencies are presented to each ear separately. Let’s say you listen to a tone of 300 Hz in your left ear and a tone of 310 Hz in your right ear. Your brain perceives the difference between these two frequencies, which in this case is 10 Hz. This difference is perceived as a “beat” or pulsation. So, even though you’re listening to two distinct frequencies, you’ll hear an additional rhythmic pulsation at a frequency of 10 Hz, even though this frequency is not actually present in the sounds entering your ears.

The brain will start to synchronize with the frequency of the perceived binaural beats, a phenomenon known as “brainwave entrainment”. This means that by listening to binaural beats of a particular frequency, somebody can influence their own brainwaves to sync or resonate at that frequency.

The binaural frequencies used in this video are within the delta wave range. Delta waves are a type of brainwave pattern. Brainwaves are the rhythmic or repetitive neural activity in the central nervous system. These waves can be observed with an EEG (electroencephalogram) and have been categorized into several types based on their frequency.

Delta waves range from 0.5 to 4 Hz and are typically associated with the deepest stages of sleep (specifically, stages 3 and 4 of NREM sleep). They are the slowest of the brainwave patterns.

The idea behind using binaural beats is that by listening to beats in the delta frequency range, one might be able to encourage the brain to produce more delta waves and possibly enter a state associated with deep sleep or deep relaxation.
