In the directors cut of Blade Runner there’s an added scene of a dove flying away following Roy Batty’s ‘tears in rain’ scene. In the original cut, the backdrop looks like the side of a warehouse, but the newer version has a fantastic high-rise building-scape with a dark and sinister looking cloudy sky. All of this is visible for about two seconds but has amazing detail. I was greatly inspired by this as I was working on this week’s video, and dare I say it, does capture a little bit of that sinister look. I’ll let you be the judge – hope you enjoy!
