This video discusses the Center for Open Science and their great work auditing peer-reviewed research studies to see if the results of those studies can be replicated. In a study of 100 psychology research papers, researchers could only replicate the results on 37% of the papers and in a second study focused on cancer biology, the average effect in the replicated study was 85% smaller than the original published study.
Is a part of a series about problems in science. The other videos are in a play list at the end of this video.
