California is Cracking Down on the Data Broker Industry

The recently created California Privacy Protection Agency didn’t waste any time in issuing regulations to rein in an out of control data broker industry. They have already started fining some data brokers and have just published new rules to protect California residents from the ever present eye of surveillance capitalism
