In 2017, a GOP affiliated Data Analytics company, Deep Root Analytics, was sued for exposing sensitive, personal data on 198 million registered voters in the United States. The data included not just the voters names, date of birth, home address, phone number and party affiliation but also predictions of every voter’s ethnicity, religion, and position on hot button political topics.
