I want to talk about a huge opportunity – especially for you younger guys.
Right now, there’s a massive shortage of construction workers.
With the average age of construction workers in the US getting older, there’s no one to replace them.
For far too long, we’ve looked down on these blue-collar jobs.
To quote Mike Rowe, “We told a whole generation of kids in so many words these jobs are so unimportant you don’t even get to look at them: wood shop, metal shop, auto shop- all those things, we just took them right out”
Yes, it’s hard and dangerous work.
You’re going to work in the burning heat and the freezing cold.
You’re going to come home covered in mud and filthy.
And it’s gonna take time and dedication to build up the skills you need to become successful.
But I’m telling you, I’ve been doing construction for a long time and there’s never been an opportunity like now to make really good money.
There’s just not that many younger people going into the trades.
Do you know how hard it is to find a plumber or to get someone to frame a house these days?
If this is something you’re interested in I would either look at 2 year trade school or get a job or apprenticeship from someone that’s really good and learn from them. @hausplans
