How To Connect Corrugated Pipe To Schedule 40 PVC

Check out my new belt- these are all the rage in Paris!
So, is there a way to connect corrugated pipe like this – to Schedule 40 PVC?
Yes, with a corrugated pipe adapter- this one’s made Polylok.
One end snaps into the corrugated pipe and the other attaches to the PVC.
Technically PVC pipe isn’t glued, it’s welded.
I’m going to start by putting on primer.
The primer actually softens the PVC surface and prepares it for the solvent welding.
Next, I apply cement to both the pipe and the adapter.
The cement contains solvents that melt the PVC- when the two pieces are slid together, the PVC melts and blends into one piece.
I have corrugated drain tile pipe running around my foundation and I want to convert it to Schedule 40 in an area where it’s not buried as deep.
This way I know I can drive back and forth over the pipe, and it won’t break.
This machine weighs over 10,000 pounds and I’ve only got about a foot of gravel covering the pipe, and the pipe is totally fine.
