I just installed this 12 volt front kit on my Ventrac- it’s needed to run some of their attachments.
The first thing I did was tilt the seat forward so I could disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
It’s always good to disconnect the battery when you’re working on anything electrical.
Next, I removed the radiator screen. While I had it out, I decided to go ahead and clean it- if it’s plugged it can cause your engine to run hot or even overheat.
I pulled away the canvas debris barrier.
Then I installed this plug bracket.
Tractors with dual front hydraulics require a different bracket- Both brackets are included in the kit.
I bolted the four-pin plug to the bracket.
Next, I routed the wiring harness through the hole in the frame- following the hydraulic hoses.
Once I found the connector with the right colored wires, I removed the cap and connected the 12 volt harness.
I used a zip tie to hold the harness in place and two more on the outside around the hydraulic hoses.
It went fast with my helper reading the directions. @hausplans
