Irving is being punished by the NBA for a tweet that was deemed racist and hateful. The punishment Irving is receiving is unfair, but what can black America do about it? Dr. Wilson is speaking on how group power influences individual power. If a person who represents a powerless group engages in conflict with a group of powerful people, the individual will most likely be dominated. With that being said, is black power an illusion?
