RECIPE:
1 cup Millet (dry roasted)
1 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp ground coriander
2 cups water
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1- ½ cups cooked brown lentils
1 tsp salt
Black pepper
Add millet to a saucepan on medium heat and dry roast until fragrant and making crackling sound.
Add water and spices. Bring to a gentle boil. Cover and let simmer on low for 20 minutes or until millet is cooked and water has cooked out.
Remove the lid and add brown lentils. Fluff the millet using a fork, mixing in lentils at the same time.
**If water runs out before millet is fully cooked, add ¼ cup of water as necessary. Do not mix after adding water and cover to continue cooking.
