The Crown has dropped an extortion charge against Alexander (Sandro) Lisi, Rob Ford’s friend and driver when the late councillor was mayor of Toronto. Lisi, who was charged in October 2013, agreed to a peace bond during his court hearing Thursday morning.
Police said the charge stemmed from his alleged efforts to retrieve an infamous recording of Ford smoking crack cocaine.
