Sauce Sweet and Sour Sauce

Recipe

½ cup unsweetened pineapple juice
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tbsp coconut aminos or tamari
⅓-½ cup date paste
2 tbls apple cider vinegar
¼ cup ketchup (oil-free and refined sugar-free)
1 tbls arrowroot starch

* For those with diabetic considerations or who want to limit their sugar intake, you could reduce the amount of dates.

Instructions:

-To a saucepan, add all ingredients except for starch.
-Bring to a boil
-Mix arrowroot starch with 2 tbsp of cold water, and add to saucepan.
-Mix until sauce thickens

Enjoy over your favorite veggies, tofu, mushrooms, jackfruit, etc.
