It’s Sunday evening and almost time to start a new week so I thought I’d share an encouraging scripture if you’re interested and if you’re not interested, we’ve got more construction content coming soon.
We were digging out the basement for our new house recently and we ran into part of a foundation from an old farmhouse on the property and another area where there was some chunks of concrete and scrap metal from a small barn.
We dug all of this out and got down to solid bedrock; then we hauled off the concrete chunks and took the scrap metal to a scrap recycling place where we got $51 bucks.
Once we got these areas cleaned out and inspected, we poured slurry to bring them up to the grade we need. This way we have a solid surface to build on and this area is restored.
This got me thinking how God is a restorer- He wants to take away the hurts and wounds that we carry and forgive us for our sins and restore us.
II Corinthians 5:17-18 says, “Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships.”
