Texas Sues GM for Spying on Drivers

Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton, has filed a lawsuit against General Motors for illegally collecting driving data on customers for the past decade without the driver’s consent AND selling that data to insurance companies.

According to the lawsuit, this practices has resulted in consumers’ monthly insurance premiums increasing and some customer having their coverage dropped.
