The sheriffs go into battle on behalf of an 80-year-old senior citizen who is owed over £1,000 ($2,000) by the owners of an auction house, and they confront a plumber who charged a customer £2,000 ($3,000) for a bathroom fitting he never even wanted. Plus, a 65-year-old senior citizen won a personal injury claim after a fall left him in agony. He was awarded £4,000 ($5,000) but never got his cash – can a sheriff put that right?
A series that follows High Court Enforcement Officers – also called Sheriffs – as they seek to recover money for their members of the public after court orders in their favor. But not everyone is happy to comply and the Sheriffs are faced with debtors who’ll do anything they can to avoid payment.
From dealing with squatters to unhappy brides, bad mechanics to petty thieves, the Sheriffs enforce the recovery of the debts in any way they can.
