In 1918 Aleister Crowley found himself enjoying a few glasses of then illegal Absinthe in the French Quarter of New Orleans. While he waited for a friend he penned an extraordinary essay reflecting on Absinthe, the Occult, the dangers of the prohibitionist and the denizens of the Old Absinthe House still at the corner of Bourbon and Bienville. @AtunSheiFilms and I co-wrote this piece reflecting on that essay and the French Quarter it was written in.

Special thanks to @TheHistocrat for providing the voice of Crowley, and to Maison Absinthe supplying us with some beautiful absinthe paraphernalia. Though it was originally a loan, we loved it so much we bought it! Check out their online store here: https://www.maisonabsinthe.com/
