On June 9th, 2025, I received a message I’d been expecting through one of my privacy-centric communication channels. It was IntelBroker, messaging me from a German prison cell. The man who breached Europol, owned Breach Forums, and treated Fortune 500 companies like WordPress sites with default passwords was reaching out through a mutual friend.
IntelBroker had been arrested in February 2025 crossing into Finland, though the feds claim it happened in France.
Now he faces extradition to either the United States where he’s looking at minimum 25 years, or Israel where UN reports document systematic torture of prisoners. When brilliant minds operate outside the law, this is the reality they face.
I’ve known IntelBroker for years after he reached out as a subscriber to this channel, which still blows my mind. In December 2024, I conducted what would become his final interview as a free man. He was already burning out, talking about retirement, legitimate work, starting a family. The exhaustion was real.
From his prison cell, he sent me videos and messages. I verified his identity through shared secrets we’d established over the years and even used Google Maps to confirm his location based on the view from his window. I gave him legal advice about court appearances, told him how to frame his humanitarian concerns about Israeli detention, warned him about what he was facing.
This video captures my perspective on a friend navigating the consequences of his choices. Someone who repeatedly offered to help me financially when I hit rough patches, offers I declined because of how brutal US conspiracy laws are. After 15 years on the run myself, I understand the paranoia and stress he described. IntelBroker went dark on June 15th, and that silence hits different than his previous absences.
