On June 9, China’s National Bureau of Statistics released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for May. The data shows that in May, the CPI decreased by 0.1% year-on-year and 0.2% month-on-month. This marks the fourth consecutive month of negative CPI growth. The PPI decreased by 3.3% year-over-year and 0.4% month-over-month, marking 32 consecutive months of negative growth.
