This 2008 Lexus LS460 got it’s engine replaced only to find the new engine with the exact same issue as the old one.
This car was brought to our shop for diagnosis after the owner spend multiple thousands of dollars trying to fix this issue. After much time in diagnosis and verification we discovered that the small tone ring of the crank sensor was off time which is a common mistake to happen but can be tricky to diagnose if you are not aware that it an easily be installed off time.
