William Shatner is an actor, writer and television broadcaster. He gained worldwide fame playing James T. Kirk in the iconic television and film series Star Trek.
Shatner is also an animal rights activist. In the past he has lobbied to send the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s elephant Lucy to a sanctuary.
